Germantown is a great city that is convenient to anything you need.  There are plenty of retail, grocery stores, restaurants, and entertainment options so close.  Having a Home Depot and Target 5 minutes away can be beneficial to a new home owner. There’s also a Kohls, Bed Bath & Beyond, DSW, CVS, and Petsmart.  There are many options for grocery shopping as well. There is a Safeway, Giant, Wegmans, or those that offer specific cultural items within a 5-minute drive.  The number of restaurants close by is also endless. For fast casual there is: Chipotle, Quickfire, MobyDick, pizza and Starbucks. For fast food there is: Chik-Fil-A, Panera, Taco Bell, Roy Rogers, McDonalds, Wendys, and Subway.  For sit down restaurants there is: Agrodolce, Carrabba’s, Thai, Sushi, Applebee’s, and Woodside Deli (great for breakfast!).  If needed there are many healthcare and emergency options close by. Our neighborhood is wonderful.  There are two pools, one within a 5-minute walk, and there is an inclusive summer swim team for children.  The back yard provides access to the Black Hills walking/biking trails and park.  The trails and park are beautiful and there is a lake as well. We also enjoy seeing the family of deer that live in the back yard and come back each year.  There is an informative and helpful neighborhood network, for any type of question, ranging from contractor recommendations to furniture giveaways to available babysitters.  The neighborhood also has a block party every summer which is fun.  When there is a big snow storm, everyone comes out to support each other in snow removal then someone breaks out the “thank you” beers or spiked hot chocolate. The efficiency in waste removal, with trash pick-up twice a week and recyclables once a week is also great.
